ANNOUNCEMENT: Homework Help Starts Sunday, Sept. 25
Homework Help provides Grade 7 - 10 mathematics students, amongst other things, live, one-on-one confidential access to Ontario certified teachers. If a student is struggling with a question at home, this site allows them to pose a question to a teacher for assistance. The teacher's role is to guide them through solving their own questions.
The site itself, can be accessed 24/7 and has many other resources such as: Interactive Tutorials, Listen and Learn Sessions and Best Sessions (recordings of actual question and answer sessions searchable by topic). Student access to a live teacher is available Sunday - Thursday from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
Students that were in Grade 7 - 9 last year, can use their existing accounts. If they have forgotten their access codes, they can either retrieve them by using their e-mail address (if entered at the time of registration) or by re-registering using their OEN number. Any student that did not register last year and was in a grade 7 - 9 mathematics class can register using their OEN number which can be found on any report card (Note: this is not their HDSB student number). Details on how to register can be found in the Homework Help Conference on the HDSB CHATT system. Current Grade 7 students will have access to the site very soon.
